Our school celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great devotion and enthusiasm throughout the week from Monday, 21 September to Friday, 25 September 2026. Students from the Pre-Primary section to Grade 7 participated in the celebration on different days, according to their class schedules.

On the first day, students of Grades 6 and 7 performed the sthapana of Lord Ganesha. They offered flowers, conducted the puja and aarti, and placed the Ganesha idols created by students during their classroom craft and idol-making activities alongside the main idol.

Each day, the scheduled classes brought prasad from home, such as laddoos, peda, and modaks. The students participated in the puja and aarti with their classmates, and the prasad was shared among everyone, spreading a spirit of devotion, joy, and togetherness across the school.

The week-long celebration concluded on Friday with the final class performing the visarjan of Lord Ganesha in a tub filled with water within the school premises. The celebration helped students understand the cultural and spiritual significance of the festival while encouraging participation, sharing, and respect for traditions.

On 8th September 2026, Grandparents' Day Activity was conducted in the school. Children participated with great enthusiasm and spoke 2-3 lines about their grandparents and recited beautiful poems/rhymes on the mic.

The aim of the activity was to express love, respect and gratitude towards grandparents. Children expressed their feelings confidently and the activity helped to enhance their speaking skills.

Overall, the activity was successful and enjoyable for all.

An Inter-House Sports Round between Aryabhatta House and Panini House was organised on 11 September 2026 at the School Playground from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Students of Grades 1 and 2 enthusiastically participated in various sports activities.

The event provided a platform for young students to showcase their sporting skills, physical fitness, team spirit and sportsmanship. The participants competed in two rounds, after which the position holders were selected based on their performance.

To familiarise young learners with the festival of Janmashtami, celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna, and develop an appreciation for Indian culture and traditions through joyful, age-appropriate experiences.

Event Highlights

Shree Vidya School celebrated Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and festive spirit on 3rd September 2026. The celebration introduced the pre-primary children to the story and significance of Lord Krishna's birth in a fun and engaging manner. Children came dressed in comfortable traditional attire, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. They brought small quantities of sweets and a few flowers to contribute to the celebration. The colourful attire and festive offerings added warmth and excitement to the occasion. Through the celebration, children were encouraged to recognise the cultural significance of Janmashtami and appreciate the traditions associated with Lord Krishna. The experience provided opportunities for observation, participation, and joyful interaction with their peers.

The Janmashtami celebration offered a joyful and meaningful cultural experience for the pre-primary learners. It provided an opportunity to learn about Indian traditions in a child-friendly environment while fostering happiness, participation, and a sense of community. The celebration created cherished memories for our little Krishna and Radha at Shree Vidya School.

Our school organized engaging Brain Games and Chess activities for students across Grades 2 to 7 to promote overall cognitive development and strategic thinking.

Brain Games (Grades 2 to 5)

Students of Grades 2 to 5 participated in Brain Games sessions, which began with warm-up activities such as left and right brain activation worksheets and simple brain exercises to enhance focus and coordination. This was followed by a variety of stimulating activities including tangrams, addition pyramids, join the dots, puzzles, pattern formation, rapid word chain, and the Make 100 Challenge. These activities helped in developing logical thinking, problem-solving skills, number sense, creativity, spatial awareness, language skills, and concentration among students.

Chess (Grades 6 & 7)

For Grades 6 and 7, Chess sessions were conducted to encourage strategic thinking, patience, planning, and decision-making skills. Students showed great interest and demonstrated a strong sense of discipline and sportsmanship while playing.

Overall, the activities were highly engaging and contributed significantly to enhancing students’ mental agility, confidence, and holistic development.

A special assembly on the theme “Mother’s Day and the Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore” was conducted by the students of Grade 3.

The assembly began with the PT drill followed by the morning prayer. Students presented the Thought of the Day, Word of the Day and News Headlines related to the theme. A meaningful speech on the life and achievements of Rabindranath Tagore was also presented.

The students performed Tagore’s famous song “Ekla Chalo Re” and shared a positive affirmation dedicated to mothers. A short quiz based on the theme was also conducted to make the assembly interactive and engaging.

Hence, the assembly was informative and meaningful.

Students of Grades VI and VII of Shree Vidya School conducted a special morning assembly on 13 May 2026 to celebrate National Technology Day. The assembly featured anchoring, the Thought of the Day, Word of the Day, news headlines, and an inspiring speech on Narayana Murthy.

A role play titled “Think Before You Click!” spread awareness about cyber safety and the responsible use of technology. The assembly concluded with positive affirmations and a message encouraging students to use technology wisely for learning and growth. Head Mistress Malavika Yadav appreciated the students’ efforts and motivated them with her encouraging words.

Shree Vidya School organised a beautiful Inter-House Hindi Handwriting Competition on 17th July 2026. The competition was held between Aryabhatta House and Panini House with enthusiastic participation from students of Grades 1 to 7.

The objective of the competition was to encourage students to write neatly, correctly and beautifully in Hindi. Students participated with great zeal and presented their best handwriting, showcasing cleanliness, proper formation of letters and creativity.

Shree Vidya School organised an inspiring Inter-House Competition on “My Pledge, Our Tree” on 14th August 2026. The competition was held between Aryabhatta House and Panini House, with enthusiastic participation from students of Grades 3 to 7.

The activity aimed to nurture patriotism, responsibility, and love for the nation. Students created trees using tri-coloured paper leaves, each carrying a personal pledge expressing how they could contribute to the country’s progress and well-being.

Their pledges reflected the values of honesty, discipline, respect, helpfulness, and hard work, reinforcing the message that every positive action can help build a stronger India.

Both houses displayed creativity, teamwork, confidence, and patriotic spirit. The colourful pledge trees beautifully represented the students’ hopes and responsibilities towards the nation.

Panini House emerged as the winner. Congratulations to the winning house and appreciation to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement. The competition was a meaningful learning experience, inspiring students to recognise their role in the nation’s growth and progress.

A House-wise Role Play Competition was organized on 14 August 2026 for the students of Grade 1 and Grade 2. The competition was conducted as part of the Independence Day celebrations, with the theme “Freedom Fighters.”

The objective of the competition was to help students learn about the lives and contributions of India's freedom fighters through an engaging and creative role-play activity. The students enthusiastically dressed up as various freedom fighters and presented their roles with confidence, expressions, and dialogue delivery.

The competition was conducted between the two houses—Panini House and Aryabhatta House. The performances were judged house-wise by the appointed judges: Ms. Ashmita (Panini House) and Ms. Shivangi (Aryabhatta House).

Winners

The competition provided students with an excellent opportunity to understand the inspiring stories of India's freedom fighters while developing their confidence, communication skills, stage presence, creativity, and patriotic spirit. The enthusiastic participation and impressive performances of the young learners made the event meaningful and memorable.

The school appreciates the efforts of all the participating students, teachers, and judges for making the Freedom Fighters Role Play Competition a successful event.

An Inter-House Action Rhyme Competition was organised for Grades 1 and 2, with enthusiastic participation from Aryabhatta House and Panini House. Students presented their rhymes with confidence, clear pronunciation, expressive voice modulation, creative actions, and thoughtfully prepared props. Their energetic stage presence and overall presentation made the competition engaging and enjoyable.

An Inter-House Doha Recitation Competition was organised at Shree Vidya School as part of the Hindi Diwas celebration. The competition aimed to encourage students to appreciate the Hindi language and the timeless teachings of Sant Kabir through his dohas. Students recited the verses with confidence, clear pronunciation and expressive presentation. The event provided a valuable opportunity to build stage confidence, improve oral expression and understand the moral values reflected in Hindi literature.

An Inter-House Hindi Poem Recitation Competition was organised at Shree Vidya School on 18 September 2026 for the students of Grades I and II. The competition was conducted between Panini House and Aryabhatta House.

The event provided the young participants with an opportunity to showcase their talent, confidence and creativity through Hindi poetry. The students enthusiastically recited their poems and demonstrated their skills in pronunciation, expression, memorisation and presentation.

The Interhouse Activity for Grades 2 to 7 was a lively celebration of learning, confidence, and creativity, bringing together students in a spirit of enthusiasm and healthy competition. The event provided a dynamic platform for young learners to showcase their talents across language, public speaking, and environmental awareness.

Spell Bee (Grades 2 & 3)

Students of Grades 2 and 3 participated in the Spell Bee competition, where they displayed excellent spelling skills and great enthusiasm. The participants were eager and confident while answering. Arihaan from Grade 3 secured the highest number of correct spellings, while Anuraj from Grade 2 also performed commendably.

JAM – Just A Minute (Grades 4 & 5)

Grades 4 and 5 took part in the JAM (Just A Minute) competition, where students impressed everyone with their confidence, creativity, and quick thinking. They spoke fluently on a variety of topics, making the session lively and inspiring. The activity truly reflected their growing communication skills and presence of mind.

Collage Making on Earth Day (Grades 6 & 7)

Students of Grades 6 and 7 engaged in a collage-making activity on Earth Day, aimed at fostering awareness and responsibility towards protecting the environment. Their creative expressions beautifully conveyed the importance of caring for Mother Earth.
